Hi all,
Has anyone created a pipe that when you are drawing it, it automatically cuts and adds joints in to it?
i.e. draw a straight pipe of 30M, the pipe comes in sections of 3M lenghts.

it depends what software, Bentley's OpenBuildngs Designer does segment pipes automatically with joints

Yes, you could create the pipe as a family with connectors either end but i think your better off just using the default / manufacturers piping as you'd have to take into account bends etc.

Cheers ryan,
Is there any way of doing it, something like a parametric ladder where the runs are automatically created every 300mm? it could be spaced out to 3000mm.
Thanks

Hi Denis,
As far as i'm aware, default Revit currently doesn't allow pipework to automatically add joints as geometry to defined lengths, you have to draw your pipe then add the joints / unions separately.
