For converting CAD to BIM, I use tools like Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. For example, when migrating a complex architectural CAD drawing, I first import the CAD file into Revit. Revit's tools help to map the CAD layers to BIM elements accurately. To handle compatibility issues, I ensure the CAD files are clean and properly structured before import. I also use Navisworks for clash detection and integration with other BIM elements, resolving any conflicts that arise during the conversion process. What are your experiences with different software tools for converting CAD to BIM? How do you manage compatibility issues between platforms? I am interested in hearing about any challenges you have faced and solutions that worked well for you.
