New content live on bimstore for Breathing Buildings

One of the latest manufacturers to join us adds to their BIM library

Breathing Buildings joined bimstore in December 2015, bringing with them their first BIM object – the Natural Ventilation with Heat Recycling system. Now they have added two more products to the BIM offering!

As we previously mentioned, Breathing Buildings was formed as a spin out company from the University of Cambridge back in 2006, following the discovery and development of the proprietary low energy e-stack mixing ventilation system as part of a major research programme. This e-stack system has been recognised by the industry via a number of awards and the system is operating in hundreds of buildings across the UK.

There are two new products available on bimstore – the R Series Stack Based Mixed Ventilation system and the S Series Stack Based Mixed Ventilation system.

TheR Series is Breathing Buildings most popular unit. Designed for a space the size of a standard 65m2 room, ventilation is provided through a split shaft, giving access to the roof. This split shaft provides inflow and outflow in winter and combines with opening windows in the summer to create a stack effect. Integrated fans mitigate cold draughts in a low energy way delivering appropriate ventilation and superb thermal comfort with fan boost and night cooling as standard.

The S Seriesis designed for larger spaces such as school halls, theatres or rooms with high occupancy. Ventilation is provided through a split shaft giving access to the roof - the split shaft provides inflow and outflow in winter and can combine with opening windows or dampers in the summer to create a stack effect. Integrated fans mitigate cold draughts in a low energy way delivering appropriate ventilation and superb thermal comfort as well as providing fan boost and night cool functionality.
