The Maccaferri MacRes® system is a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining wall system, comprised of precast concrete facing panels and discrete high tenacity coated polyester strips. The performance of the MacRes® system depends primarily on the interaction between the polymeric geostrips and the surrounding reinforced backfill as the tensile forces in the soil are transferred to the reinforcements by means of friction.
MacRes® is a flexible vertical faced system, easy to construct and capable to withstand high seismic load. MacRes® has been used on projects worldwide for various applications such as bridges, railways, highways, airports, quarries and other industrial areas.

Maccaferri precast concrete copings are placed along the top of the structure, allowing a straight and uniform appearance to the MacRes® wall. Sound barriers or traffic barriers can be combined with the precast, according to the project requirements.
