MacRes® System Corner Element

Description

The Maccaferri MacRes® system is a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining wall system, comprised of precast concrete facing panels and discrete high tenacity coated polyester strips. The performance of the MacRes® system depends primarily on the interaction between the polymeric geostrips and the surrounding reinforced backfill as the tensile forces in the soil are transferred to the reinforcements by means of friction.
MacRes® is a flexible vertical faced system, easy to construct and capable to withstand high seismic load. MacRes® has been used on projects worldwide for various applications such as bridges, railways, highways, airports, quarries and other industrial areas.

The precast concrete Corner Elements are used to form corners and curvatures between wall sections in a non-horizontally aligned MacRes® MSE structures. Corner elements, as the concrete panels, are supplied with MacLoop connections, according to the project requirements. The standard height is 1.50 m.
