Conex Bänninger: >B< Press makes short work of installation on the iconic RMS Queen Mary II

At the time of her construction, the RMS Queen Mary II was the longest passenger ship ever built.

Intended for routine crossings of the Atlantic Ocean, she was designed differently to many other passenger ships by a team of British naval architects and is much faster than contemporary cruise ships.

In 2003, French firm, Chantiers de l’Atlantique built RMS Queen Mary II and used 16,000 Conex Bänninger >B< Press Copper and Red Brass plumbing fittings. Easy to use, >B< Press fittings are user friendly, have flame-free installation and are very quick to install. >B< Press 3-point press system provides extra durability and security to the fitting, giving the installer added assurance that once pressed the fitting is robust and reliable. When the fitting is pressed, the O-ring material compresses itself to form a permanent, leak-free joint. A built-in pressing indicator identifies any unpressed joints by causing the joint to leak when tested at low initial pressures.
